We at rainbowroomies.com take your privacy very seriously and will not disclose or sell any information we collect to anyone. Period.

What personal information is collected?
Personal information is information that identifies you and may be used verify your account if you require assistance from us.

Rainbowroomies.com only collects personal information from our online visitors on a voluntary basis and only during registration for the website, areas of the website that may also require registration (Forums, and Chat) or when you submit a profile.

Information collected during registration includes your name (optional), e-mail address, desired username and Pogo.com playername. The only personal information we collect on registration is Your name, pogo.com playername and email address. Your name is used to personalize welcome email and to verify you if you require Support. Your email address is required so the system will have a way to send you a new password if requested. Your playername is used to verify that you are an actual pogo.com member.

Our server also collects information such as the Date, Time, IP Number, Browser Type etc by default. This is standard practice at almost every website you visit.

During registration, the website does collect the date registered and your IP number along with the information included on the registration form. This is for our records only and is only available to authorized RainbowRoomies volunteers. This is kept for our records to enable us to help you if you require assistance and to prevent abuse.

While viewing profiles on the website, the website will record your playername on all member's profiles that you view. This info is only available to the owner of that profile and only if they are a Club Rainbow Roomies member, and our authorized website adminstrators. This information is a feature that we hope to use to remove abusive member's accounts by allowing the member to see who has viewed their profile.

Why do you need my pogo.com playername?
We verfiy all pogo.com playernames on all registrations in hopes of preventing everyone on the internet from accessing the website. We feel that doing this helps reduce the chances of pictures and other information from being copied to other websites etc. We feel that limiting access to rainbowroomies.com to only members of pogo.com, helps keep your information more secure. If you add a profile to rainbowroomies, your pogo.com playername will be displayed in the lists.

Do you use cookies?
Yes. Cookies are stored on your computer only if you Opt to have the website remember your username & password. Other cookies may be placed on your computer if you choose to remember you in the Forums and the Chat room. Session cookies, cookies that only remain while logged on to an online program or script so the program or script knows who you are, are used for our webmail, but are removed when you log out or close the browser window. No other cookies are used on the website.

What about profiles?
Member profiles are information collected that is intended to be public information. All Info entered into that form is publicly available with the exception of your username, email address, your favorites list and your "who viewed" list (for Club Rainbow Roomies members). Your email address is kept private and will not be visible to anyone.

Hidden information included on the profile form is your Username and email address which are only viewable by an admin. This is how the database knows who's profile belongs to who.

We do everything we can to protect your copyrighted pictures. While it is still possible for a visitor to copy a picture, we try to keep most people from accomplishing this, but please understand, it is on a website and still visible to the public and not everyone will honor our request that they will not copy your picture/s.

What do you use my email address for?
The system uses your email address to send your registration info to you, and if you request a new password. If you add a profile, an email will be sent to notify you if your profile has been approved or denied. Club members may also opt to receive an email if other members add or modify their profile.

We (the webmaster and volunteers that have gererously donated their time to help), WILL NOT give out or sell ANY information collected at any time and for any reason. We are serious about keeping your information private.

We do not send out any emails for advertising purposes or for a newsletter. We have been asked to send an email to everyone in the past for other websites, but those requests were denied and will always be denied. We detest spam and will not do it ourselves.

You may also receive an email from the forums if you are registered for the forums and opt to receive emails if someone replies to your post, or if you opt to receive emails if you are watching one of the boards (Topics).
